In my previous post I had shown you how to install Wine on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and 10.8 Mountain Lion. As a Mikrotik router administrator and a Mac OS X user, able to run Mikrotik Winbox on Mac OS X Lion is a must even though I can still use ssh or telnet to remote Mikrotik routers. However, accessing Mikrotik via Winbox is much easier than via ssh or telnet.

1. Winbox Mac Address

This article shows you how easy it is running Mikrotik Winbox on Mac OS X, in this case I use Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2. It should work on Snow Leopard, Leopard, Tiger and the latest OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.

1. Install the Wine first. You can follow my previous tutorial on how to install Wine on Mac OS X.

Download Winbox: https. I'll show you how to quickly install the Mikrotik Winbox tool on macOS using Winebottler, and how to use it with your Mikrotik router. As many MAC OS users we were fighting with installing Winbox to our MACs. Winbox is a very nice tool, probably one of the best for network management and configuration. The safest way is to run Wine HQ and run native Winbox for windows on it. Here are the steps how to install Mikrotik Winbox on MAC OS Catalina 10.15.4.

2. Download Winbox application from Mikrotik website.

3. Once it is download, run the Winbox via wine as follow:
